KX Club

KX ('Kicks'), London's newest private health club, boasts an international star-studded membership. Dedicated to providing the ultimate fitness facilities, it's also a luxury lifestyle concept which includes spa, dining and chill zones.Thorp design approached The New England Shutter Company to design custom made shutters to ensure total privacy for members.

The shutters are Manhattan style, with 115mm blades and extra-large rails and stiles to meet the proportions of the tall, wide windows. We installed café-style shutters to give screening at the bottom of the windows whilst allowing natural daylight to flood in at the top.

The shutters in the Member's Lounge and restaurant are solid tulipwood covered with luxurious dark brown faux leather whilst the exercise rooms use solid tulipwood painted in a bitter chocolate colour. We sourced extra-large hinges which were custom-painted to match.
